In the comments section of the document, Microsoft further clarified that this deadline is for “Windows 11 version 21H2” and not Windows 10 version 21H2. “Partners looking to achieve compatibility for systems shipping with Windows 11, version 21H2 Release may factory-install drivers for components that achieved compatibility with Windows 10, version 2004 until September 24, 2021,” Microsoft’s documentation reads.
As per the document, OEMs are now required to submit their final drivers for Windows 11 version 21H2 by the end of September, so that the company has enough time to include them in Windows Update for Windows 11.
